Such a wonderful dining experience! The staff here is amazing and truly attentive. The food is delicious — fresh fish and traditional meyhane-style dishes, all perfectly prepared. The mezes were outstanding, and they serve plenty of complimentary treats which really add to the experience. The atmosphere is very cozy, with just the right background music — enjoyable but never overwhelming — and a lively crowd enjoying themselves. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of İstiklal, which makes it very easy to reach and perfect for an evening out. On top of that, the terrace view is beautiful and makes the night feel extra special. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Turkish seafood and meyhane vibes in the center of Istanbul!

The food and services are 10/10. The view is so beautiful. Ayhan specially left us great impression toward this restaurant. He gave a unique service and experience. Definitely recommended

The food and the view were both stellar. The fish was probably the best we had while in turkey. The caviar and the octopus were 2 of our favorite dishes. We also had the sea bass which was on season and was excellent. We ordered a bottle of wine from the Cappadocia area which was light and paired well with the fish. At the end they brought us a free dessert. Our waiter was kind and helpful; he offered recommendations throughout the night. Great place.

Perched atop a charming rooftop in Istanbul, Eleos Restaurant captivates with its stunning terrace, offering a front-row seat to the city’s vibrant charm. FOOD: Eleos specializes in seafood, with an array of meze and appetizers showcasing the bounty of the sea. We sampled a variety of dishes, starting with pan-fried shrimp in oil. While the presentation was appealing, the shrimp tasted more boiled than seared, lacking the bold flavor we’d hoped for, though the accompanying mushrooms were a delightful standout. The local delicacy of mussels with rice, however, fell flat; the rice overwhelmed the subtle mussel flavor, and we’ve tasted more memorable renditions elsewhere. The grilled mackerel was a highlight, lightly seasoned with spices and marinade, boasting a tender, bone-free texture that made it both flavorful and satisfying. The grilled shrimp, while slightly dry, were redeemed by a flawless creamy butter sauce infused with spices, which balanced the dish beautifully. SERVICE: The service was top-notch, with attentive waitstaff who spoke excellent English, ensuring a seamless dining experience. A thoughtful touch came in the form of a complimentary appetizer—crispy breaded zucchini—that added a warm note to the meal. VERDICT: Eleos is well worth a visit, particularly at sunset when the terrace’s atmosphere truly shines. The seafood offerings are generally well-executed, though some dishes miss the mark. With stellar service and a breathtaking setting, it’s a solid choice for a memorable evening in Istanbul, especially if you’re craving coastal cuisine with a view.

I found the restaurant by chance on AI. It is sort of hidden in a building on the second floor , the entrance is around the corner from the main shopping street. Very friendly staff and got several complimentary items after we ordered a bottle of white and sea bass. Everything was tasty and beautiful view from the restaurant, felt as if in Greece ! Many locals eat here
